Prof Christian Makary Masterclass in Tallinn: Sharing his 30 years of experience in Oral Surgery and Oral Implantology

27. november 2026

Tallinn, Eesti

Why attend Prof. Christian Makary’s Masterclass in Tallinn?

Learn practical, evidence-based protocols from 30 years of experience in oral surgery and implantology - focused on faster treatment and better patient outcomes.

What you’ll learn:

  • Dynamic implant protocols: how to safely shorten the classic 6-9 month workflow and achieve final restoration in ~4 weeks in suitable cases (high primary stability + modern implant design/surfaces).

  • Piezosurgery essentials: 20 years of clinical lessons on safer, more precise bone surgery (bone-selective cutting, less trauma, better healing), ideal for sinus and anatomically sensitive cases.

Why come: faster results with no compromise - less trauma, more predictability, happier patients.

Dynamic Implantology Protocols: Stepping into a New Era

Implantology has evolved beyond traditional delayed placement and conventional loading protocols into a dynamic approach focused on immediate implantation and accelerated loading. This paradigm shift is driven by a deeper understanding of the interaction between mechanical stability and biological healing.

Advances in implant macro design now allow for improved primary stability by optimizing bone support while minimizing excessive compression and the risk of unfavorable bone remodeling. At the same time, innovations in implant surface technology, such as Xpeedactive, significantly enhance bone healing and enable faster osseointegration—often within as little as four weeks.

This course will present the scientific and clinical rationale behind dynamic implant protocols, with practical guidance on immediate implant placement in both the anterior esthetic zone and molar sites. Special attention will be given to accelerated loading concepts—both early and immediate—as well as the critical role of digital workflows and the R2Gate platform in implementing predictable and efficient treatment protocols.

During the course, participants will:

  • Explore how bone density, implant geometry, and surgical technique influence implant stability during early healing

  • Understand the rationale for immediate implant placement in extraction sockets in both anterior and molar regions

  • Comprehend the clinical and scientific foundation of early and immediate loading protocols

  • Learn how digital workflows support the successful implementation of dynamic implantology protocols

Two decades of Piezosurgery: Lessons from the past and new clinical perspectives

Piezoelectric bone surgery is a modern standard in oral surgery and implantology, enabling precise micrometric bone cutting while protecting soft tissues and supporting faster, more predictable healing. Over the last 25 years, piezosurgery has advanced significantly - especially in sinus procedures, ridge splitting, bone grafting, and ultrasonic implant site preparation.

This course combines two decades of clinical experience with the latest innovations in devices, inserts, and techniques, showcasing clear clinical and biological benefits supported by research.

Learning objectives

  • Understand the principles and advantages of piezoelectric surgery

  • Perform atraumatic ultrasonic tooth extraction

  • Improve safety and efficiency in sinus floor elevation

  • Learn clinical/biological benefits of ultrasonic implant site preparation

  • Review key developments and future perspectives

Hands-on

  • Introduction of the MT-Bone (Mectron)

  • Insert action demo (egg model)

  • Lamb model training: atraumatic extraction + implant placement + gap grafting; lateral sinus floor elevation
